TOILET & PLUMBING

Clogged Toilets

If your toilet won't flush properly, you can typically dislodge the clog using a plunger. If you don't have a plunger, you can purchase one from a big box store or local hardware store.

Press the plunger into place over the mouth of the toilet drain and move the handle up and down to push the clog through. If you're successful, the toilet will drain.

Please avoid flushing the toilet with a clog in place as this could cause the basin to overflow.

Sinks/Showers

If your sink or shower isn't draining properly, there may be hair or other debris in the drain. You can clean the drain using a drain cleaning tool. Do not use harsh chemicals on the drain, as this could damage the pipes.

If you're unable to dislodge the clog on your own, let us know.

ELECTRICAL POWER

If you lose electrical power...

Contact your utility provider to troubleshoot the issue. There may be localized outages or a problem with your account.

If after speaking to the electric company you still need help, please let us know.

HOT WATER OUTAGES

If you lose hot water in your rental home, locate the water heater and check the temperature controls. Does everything look correct?

If your water heater is gas-powered, verify that the pilot light is still lit. If you make any changes to the settings, wait 15 to 20 minutes before testing the water again.

HVAC PROBLEMS

If your heat or air conditioning isn't working as expected, use the central thermostat in your rental to troubleshoot the issue. Verify that all of your settings look correct and if necessary, cycle your system off and back on again to reset the defaults.
